These are one-of-a-kind trinket dishes that are created from real Atlantic Way oyster shells, sourced from the west coast of Ireland. Each full oyster is hand-painted with a sweeping ocean scene viewed from above — moving from the deep, dark blues of open water, through turquoise shallows, and into soft whites where sea foam meets the shoreline.
The oyster is balanced on a porcelain tile base, forming a distinctive ring or trinket box that beautifully showcases the shell’s rugged exterior. The sculptural design gives the piece an almost architectural presence, making it both a practical storage dish and an eye-catching decorative object.
The transparent adhesive connecting the oyster to its base reflects light like water, evoking the ocean. This clear connection gives the impression that the shell is still embraced by the sea.
The top shell forms the lid and is finished with a faux pearl knob, allowing it to be lifted easily to reveal the dish beneath. As each oyster shell is naturally formed, every piece is unique, with its own individual shape, texture, and character.

Please note that our oyster ring / trinket dishes are individually made to order. Each shell passes through multiple stages of preparation and finishing to achieve a high-quality result. The final protective coating applied to the interior alone requires at least one week to cure properly. For this reason, please allow 1–2 weeks from the order date for your piece to be completed before it is dispatched.
These are wild, natural oyster shells gathered from the west coast of Ireland, and each one varies in size, shape, and natural markings. The average shell measures approximately 2″ × 3″, though some may be slightly shorter or taller, wider or narrower. As each piece is individually decorated by hand, the artwork will also vary, making every trinket dish truly unique.

We work with what nature has given us. Variations such as; growth marks, ragged edges, chipped backs, and barnacles make each one special.
Every shell is individually picked, cleaned, prepared, hand-painted and decorated by our artists at our studio in Galway, Ireland.
